ResourceData.org is an online repository of timely datasets on extractives sector governance intended for use by researchers, civil society organizations, citizens and journalists.

ResourceData.org is hosted and maintained by the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI).

With ResourceData.org, NRGI aims to complement other extractives data providers such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, OpenOil, World Resources Institute and Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative.

ResourceData.org is built with CKAN, an open-source technology, for dissemination of open data. CKAN makes data accessible and usable by providing tools to streamline publishing, sharing, finding and using data (including storage of data and provision of robust data APIs).

ResourceData.org is free and enables users to generate previews of the data, utilize the powerful CKAN API, download data and subscribe to updates.

If you are a user of extractives data and would like to contribute, you can subscribe to our mailing list.
